WIP Piano Bar Series: A Raisin in the Oatmeal

Making its Piccolo Spoleto debut and regional premiere in Charleston, run, A Raisin in the Oatmeal will join our WIP Piano Bar Series: Sondheim Night for a very special two night run at the new Schoolhouse in the popular Avondale neighborhood, West of the Ashley.

What If? newcomer and Charleston theatre veteran Nakeisha Daniel  gives the “Great White Way” a big black eye, in this hilarious one-woman musical cabaret that focuses on the challenges facing African-American women in the theatre scene. Featuring classic and contemporary songs by notable composers, Nakeisha chronicles her journey auditioning for roles beginning in catholic school and on to the big stage in this one-of-a-kind musical experience. Nakeisha made her What If? debut last Christmas as part of our Holiday Mixtape show and will make a very special appearance during our Sondheim Nights shows which run in rep with this show at The Schoolhouse. 

Each night will offer regular seating as well as 6 VIP cocktail tables with seating four. Each table will receive a complimentary bottle of champagne. Tables are first come, first serve. Wine bar will also be available for all guests. 


Single Adult Ticket: $20

VIP Table of 4: $100 - only 6 tables available per show
