This December What If? Productions takes on the world of classical music with our take on one of our favorite modern classics, Amadeus. In the court of the Austrian Emperor Joseph, established court composer Antonio Salieri lives a modestly celebrate existence based upon standards of tradition. When outrageous, foul-mouthed young genius Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart appears upon the scene tolerance turns into envy and rage as Salieiri's own legacy begins to be eclipsed by his new, energetic rival.
Driven to the brink of madness by his pure jealously towards his bratty and brilliant counterpart, Salieri sets forth on an elaborate plot to destroy Mozart at the risk of his own career, reputation and relationship with God. Pure Core Member Brannen Daugherty (Thrill Me: The Leopold & Loeb Story) returns to What If? in the complex role of Salieri opposite new What If? Collective member Nathan Cooper (The Cannibals) as wild child Amadeus Mozart in this darkly comic and revenge filled modern classic.
